HOW TO GET WINDOWS 8 PRODUCT KEY

If you’re planning to reinstall your windows and you’ve lost or forgotten the product key of your version of windows, then you’re in luck that you are reading this post “How to get Windows 8 Product key”. It’s not very easy to find the product key but reading this tutorial you will learn the best and easiest method to get your windows product key.

METHOD 1

Open Command Prompt as an administrator, paste the following command and hit enter
wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

Click on the above banner and your download will begin (3.8 mb) when the download is finished navigate to the directory where the software is downloaded.
Begin the installation by double tapping the downloaded file hit on Install, when the download is finished a window will be opened “Preparing to analyze this computer”, click on Yes. Your PC will be connected to the Belarc server and a webpage will be loaded in a new window of computer’s browser.
In the webpage click on the Software link as shown in the picture. A new page will be loaded.
A new page will be loaded and you can get Windows 8 product key here. See the picture below.

HOW TO BOOT INTO SAFE MODE ON ANY VERSION OF WINDOWS

WHAT IS SAFE MODE ?

Safe mode is an application software, used to fix malware and unstable software problems. Booting into Safe mode is proved to be the best way to troubleshoot and fixing problems, it will boost up the task of fixing malwares or any problem, but the functionality of the computer will be reduced.
In Safe mode you have all the administrative rights, as it boots without loading any third party software, the resolution of the PC will be reduced if booted into Safe mode. Safe mode will start your computer with only basic services and functionality that are needed just to start the operating system.
If your PC got in trouble with some problem, you should boot into Safe mode to fix it as Safe Mode is used to fix unstable or malware software problems. In the previous versions of Windows, booting into Safe mode was very easy task. In this post you will learn how to boot into Safe mode on any version of Windows.

BOOT INTO SAFE MODE ON ANY VERSION OF WINDOWS

BOOT INTO SAFE MODE ON WINDOWS 7, VISTA, OR PREVIOUS VERSIONS

Safe mode in Windows 7 or any previous version can be accessed by pressing “f8” as the operating system boots.Your PC will be booted into Safe mode.

BOOT INTO SAFE MODE ON WINDOWS 8, 8.1 OR WINDOWS 10

Tradition to access Safe mode by pressing “f8” as the system boots, will no longer work in Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows 10. Windows 10 has recently launched and millions of people have upgraded their PC to Windows 10. To boot into Safe Mode on Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows 10, safe mode can be accessed by pressing “shift + f8” or a special UI is needed. First try “shift + f8”, if it doesn’t help then try this procedure to boot into Safe Mode.

1. Open Run Command.
To open Run Command press “Windows Key + R”.
2.   Type the following command and hit enter.
msconfig.exe
3. Now System Configuration window will pop up, now click on “Boot” and go under Boot options. Select Safe Boot, click Apply and hit OK.
4. After Clicking OK, you will see a system configuration message.
5.  Just Restart your Computer and it will Boot into Safe Mode.

UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 FROM WINDOWS 8/8.1 OR WINDOWS 7

Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 upgrade in phases to their old users for absolutely free. Yes you heard it right, the upgrade is absolutely free for lifetime as promised by the Microsoft. As the upgrade is rolling out in phases to meet the high demand, it may take up to few days or weeks to get the bite. If you are like me and don’t want to be in a queue then follow this tutorial to upgrade to Windows 10 without waiting.

Notice : Before you upgrade to Windows 10. Let me tell you, there are some minor bugs as Windows 10 has just launched and hence acceptable, but not to worry you can fix them, also read :

Note : If you were unable to reserve the copy of Windows 10, go for Method 2.



BEFORE UPGRADING– MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKUP ALL YOUR FILES AND DATA JUST IN CASE.


1. UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 USING COMMAND PROMPT.


You can force the upgrade to download using a command in the command prompt. Here’s how to do it.

  • Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
  • Type the following command and hit Enter.
    wuauclt.exe /updatenow
  • Wait for some few minutes and open up Windows update from Control Panel.
  • Ola! You will see the Windows 10 upgrade prompt in your Windows PC.

2. UPGRADE USING WINDOWS MEDIA CREATION TOOL

I was one of you who was waiting for some notification for the upgrade, why should I wait ? So I contacted Microsoft and asked for some alternative to get the upgrade right now. They told me about some software- Windows Media Creation Tool to upgrade to windows 10. This helped me to get the upgrade without waiting in the queue.

                                               
If you’re on a 32 bit version of Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. then grab the 32 bit Windows Media Creation tool or download the 64 bit Windows Media Creation tool if you’re on a 64 bit version of Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. You can check which version of Windows is installed on your PC, just right click on My Computer or This PC and click on properties.
Download the tool in your PC to “upgrade to Windows 10”, Run the tool and select Upgrade this PC now and click on Next. Windows 10 will start downloading and once the download is finished, you will have three options for the installation. Keep personal files and apps, Keep personal files only and nothing. Select any option, I prefer first option. Windows 10 will start installing and the computer will be rebooted a few times and after some customizations your PC will be upgraded.
