HOW TO CHANGE WINDOWS 10 START MENU AND TASKBAR COLORS

[dropcap style=”no-background”] T [/dropcap]he classic start menu has returned in Windows 10. It’s not like the previous start menu of Windows 7 but a combination of Windows 7 start menu with Windows 8 theme. Finally you are not bound to the Tablet mode view, if you are using Windows 10. You can change the appearance accordingly. In this tutorial, I will show you how to change Windows 10 start menu and taskbar colors. Unlike previous version of Windows, the start menu and taskbar can pick up the accent from desktop background. Now lets move on to the tutorial if your start menu is in working state. CHANGE WINDOWS 10 START MENU AND TASKBAR COLORS

Follow these steps to change Windows 10 start menu and taskbar colors –

1.  Open Personalization,

[infobox style=”alert-info”] Right click on the desktop background to and click on Personalize to open personalization [/infobox]

2. Click on the Colors option present on the left side of the Personalization window.

Now there will be three options available –

Automatically pick an accent color from my desktop

If you want to be easy then tick this option so that the start menu and taskbar will automatically pick up the accent of the desktop background. Other wise you choose from the available colors manually.

Show color on start menu, taskbar and action centre

To make the start menu and taskbar more appealing, tick this option to get colored start menu and taskbar. You can see the difference in both the cases. If this option is turned off then only the icons would be colored.

Make start menu, taskbar and action centre transparent

Checking this option is also recommended to make the start menu and taskbar transparent.
